Verizon's diabolical plan to turn the Web into pay-per-view from Joe. The argument that Verizon (or any other carrier) has a First Amendment right to edit/limit web content as a "publisher" that it did not originally publish is rubbish. This is in line with the Universal V Corely decision which found that Eric Corely did not have a First Amendment right to repost the code to DECSS. According to that decision, simply reiterating/reposting the views/content of another is not a form of protected speech.
